Day 320: Bored in Kyoto

Travelling sucks when the weather is bad. I have heard nothing but good thing about Kyoto but I hardly enjoyed my day here.
It rained the entire morning. I thought I should just paid and entered the International Manga Museum and waited out the rain while reading the comic books there. I did that for a few hours and realized that the rain’s not ever going to cease.
Armed with my rain jacket and umbrella, I headed to Kinkakuji shrine. Taking pictures while holding an umbrella was cumbersome. I ended up tossing the umbrella on the ground and relied mainly on my rain jacket. My Kinkakuji experience was a “mehhh….” I didn’t get zen-ed out at all. If anything, I left the premise somewhat agitated by the humidity and the crowds.
