Day 230: This Poor Country and Its Inadequate Napkins
Mendoza, Argentina
On my ride to Mendoza, I met two Americans, Andy and Adam.
Long story short, we spent the day walking around town in the morning, hiking up a hill in the afternoon then bar hopping in the evening.
Andy is the joker of the group. He has a weird, dry and sarcastic sense of humour. Took me a bit to get the hang of it. One comment he had during our dinner in regards of the shitty wax papers provided to us as napkins sent Adam and I laughing till we teared up. “Oh, this poor country with its inadequate napkins!” said Andy. It wasn’t meant to be a joke but the way he delivered it killed us. The rest of the night was spent drinking from bar to bar accompanied by Andy’s silly comments. We didn’t get back to the hostel until almost 4 in the morning.
