Day 228: Football & Tango
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The historical area of La Boca in Buenos Aires is definitely worth a visit. The place oozes the Argentinian spirit of football and tango. I found the colourful building and the unique art style a feast for my eyes. The typographic work of the old school signage is totally fresh. Pedro later told me the specific term for that style, which I can’t for the life of me remember at this moment. Might have to get back to you guys on this. (Not that I think you’d care. But this will be good for me as the blog has been serving as a memory bank for myself).
Some photos from La Boca:
I had a nice evening, going to dinner with Pedro, Paula and her daughter Malen, To top off the wonderful meal, we went for ice cream in the trendy area of Buenos Aires called Palermo. I had yet to check out Palermo during the day. But from the looks of it at night, it seems like it’s the place where BA’s yuppies and hipsters hang out.
