Day 144: Elys, Storm and Joost Go to Amsterdam
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
With a title like that, it’s rather obvious what our day was like.
Well, It started off with me going to Van Gogh museum. It’s a really well run museum. Van Gogh should be rolling in his grave for killing himself. He could have been famous alive. But then again, fame is a tricky thing. Perhaps the reason for his rise to fame is the suicide. People do love drama.
Storm and Joost came from Utrecht to Amsterdam. It’s cool to finally meet Joost since I’ve heard a lot of this kid from Storm. As a matter of fact, I feel like I know all the other dive interns that came after me from all the stories Storm told me. I wish I could have met there as they seem like an interesting bunch.
Amsterdam’s weather was shitty so there’s not much of sightseeing we could do. Thus, our adventure ended up looking like this: bar – pizza – “coffeeshop” – “coffeeshop” – bar – “coffeeshop” – bar – burrito
On a productive scale, we scored 0, but I got to experience the “coffeeshops.” I’m just doing a cultural study, you see… yeah, cultural study… definitely… yeah
