Vienna, Austria
The sun was scorching today when I visited the Schobrunn Palace in the suburbs of Vienna. Too cheap to pay for the U-bahn ticket, I walked nearly an hour to reach there. And too cheap also to pay for the entrance ticket to see the inside of the palace, I was sunburnt walking around it’s vast garden.
Vienna is chock full of museums and every single one easily costs $15 and up. There are definitely a few that I’m highly interested in but simply can’t afford. The bloody Plitvice trip set me back quite a bit.
Lena, a local from Vienna whom I met yesterday, arranged another meet-up at the center of the city where there’s a film festival going on every night during the summer. The view was impressive! The massive screen was set up in front of the gigantic Gothic town hall. The view plus the orchestra music and the summer night breeze made it a perfect night to be out.
