Day 27: Nudibranch

Vela Luka, Croatia

Today was another full day which included shadowing Andy during his teaching of Open Water Course. It was quite painful as I was in the cold water for close to 6 hours and the 15-hour that I pulled the day before made it worse. I was shivering from the cold and tiredness on my way back home but somehow managed to get myself to the shop to buy some canned soup.

Anyway, on a more upbeat note. I learnt about these funny creatures called Nudibranch. The two photographer divers (Dov from Israel and Eric from Holland) that we had for the week were obsessed with them. They’re basically nudibranch-spotting underwater and they’d queue up underwater waiting for their turns to take pictures. I can see why the obsession. These nudibranches are really cute and they come in different shapes and colours.

Here are some that were spotted:

Croatian phrase of the day:

Tako-tako = So-so
