Day 415: Feel the Vapor Pressure Drop
Amman – Aqaba, Jordan
Today I experienced more of Jordanian hospitality.
During my wait on the bus station, I was handed a glass of cranberries juice by a local family who happened to be pouring the beverage for their kids. I was slightly taken aback since I hardly even glanced their direction the whole time we’re sitting opposite each other.
Upon arriving in Aqaba, in the south end of Jordan, a CS member Ali picked me up at the station. I had not requested a couch from Ali. I did, however, sent him a message inquiring about diving in Aqaba. He had replied saying that if I was okay with it, he’d sort things out (accomodation and diving) for me for my time in Aqaba.
Ali has an easygoing personalities. It’s almost impossible to not warm up to this fella. As soon as Ali picked me up, we went to an apartment where he’d be hosting me, Julia from Germany and Pia from Taiwan. The rest of the late afternoon was spent with all of us driving around town, going to supermarket, stopping by for a drink at a cafe and an early night for tomorrow’s full day of fun at the beach.
