Day 411: Space is Brilliant
Mumbai, India – Amman, Jordan
Amman is fresh! All the buildings are monotone in colour. Dulux and Benjamin Moore would go bankrupt if other cities in the world were like Amman.
I tagged along with a French girl and a Syrian guy from my hostel to a contemporary art museum nearby called Darat al Funun. First impression on Amman: super safe. No hassling whatsoever.
The museum is situated up on a hill in an old stylish building, overlooking the city. A particular piece that caught my attention was this Palestinian Space Agency’s Moment Without Gravity project by Gilles Fontolliet. I honestly do not comprehend what it’s all about, but it consists of a space shuttle, guy in astronaut suit and the word “Space.” I’m sold :]
One day, I’ll head to space….
Meanwhile, here’s a song about going to space by a Scottish band Ballboy. I think this is the song that sparked my obsession about going to space.
