Day 391: Dark Eyed Boy
Jodhpur – Jaisalmer, India
Entry written by Anneleen:
The 31th of august we arrived in Jaisalmer, the golden city. It was the most beautiful city we’ve visited and it was really hot! Upto 40 degrees! The houses looked like they were built with sand and the details on them were really nice. We stayed in Jeet Villas and got a really nice big and clean room. We visited another fort but this time there were houses en stores built in the fort, so it didn’t really look like a fort. At the entrance there were pushy saleswomen who tried to sell bracelets and anklets.
We ate in the restaurant “Little Tibet” recommended by the Lonely Planet. The food was really good. We met a local salesmen who wanted to marry Tine and who promised us 600 camels in return. They would have five children, for boys and one girl, this would bring luck. On the streets there were a lot of cute children playing. Overall it was a really nice visit.
