Day 279: My “Mate” Swimming Pool Dream
Haast – Fox Glacier – Franz Josef – Pukekura – Hokitika, New Zealand
This is Elys writing again. So… I thought I managed to con our Argentinian hitchhiker, Guillermo, to write the blog entry for today. He agreed to it but as of now I haven’t received an email from him. He probably won’t even bother to write.
Anyway, today we drove out of the Wopwop-ed Haast and saw two glaciers (Fox and Franz Josef). Meh. The glaciers were cool and all but I think I’ll write about something totally random instead:
If hypothetically, I own too much money than I know what to spend on… I’ll build myself a swimming pool and fill it with Mate (Argentinian) tea. I’ll swim in it while having the Mate straw on my lips sipping my endless Mate. You’d say it’s gross but I think you’re just hating.Oh, by the way, we went pass this small town called Pukekura, population: 2. I think the two people in town are the owner of Puke Pub where they serve road kill meat.Their motto “You kill ‘em, we grill ‘em.” We got there too late in the evening. I would have loved to try possum meat. Some photos I took from the surrounding area: (these people are very opinionated)
