Day 226: Follow the Cow
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Argentina is famous for its meat BBQ “Parilla” and I had yet to properly try it. Joe, my Argentinian dorm mate in Cusco, invited me to go to a dinner buffet. We met up in this restaurant called “Siga La Vaca.” It literally translates as “Follow the Cow.” I liked the sound of it even before going.
For USD 22, you get to eat all sorts of meat, not just beef. Salad, dessert and wine are also included. Joe and I pigged out trying every type of BBQ available there. My favourite of all was the pig’s blood sausage. It’s tasty and pate-like. There’s not even the need to chew
By the end of the meal, Joe and I agreed to be vegetarians for 2 weeks starting from the coming Monday. By that time, I’ll be in Australia, so I reckon it shouldn’t be that hard. But then again, that was my assumption right after having three plates of meat.
