Day 208: Foxy Brown and the Different Shades of Green

They say not to judge book by its cover. I think this may apply to scenery as well; in the sense that not all impressive views translate well into photographs.
I joined the day tour to Vincente Perez Rosales national park, per Lorenzo’s suggestion. He said there’s no easy way to get there myself and I probably would have spent the same amount of money and a lot more hassle attempting it.
The tour brought us to three main attractions: Petrohue waterfall, Lake Los Santos and Laguna Verde.
Petrohue waterfall is quite breathtaking in real life. In photos…. not quite so:
Lake Los Santos is a quiet beauty. It’s vast and has an amazing turquoise colour. The colour is a result of the mineral in the water. Anyway, not too photogenic either (or I just suck at capturing it).
Laguna Verde is shitty in real life. Its greenish colour (due to a certain kind of algae that grows in it) looks swampy. But I ended up with interesting reflection photos:
