Day 142: Masses Against the Classes
Paris, France
I had lunch with Alexis at a burger joint. No wonder the French is known for their culinary art. Even their burgers are better looking than American’s. Alexis ate his burger with fork and knife while I grabbed mine with my bare hands :]
I opted to go back to Musee du Louvre for the day. Alexis was kind enough to show the way and accompanied me for a while. It’s probably one of the best museum I’ve ever been to. The museum premise itself is a piece of art.
The museum features massive collections of art from the Egyptian to the Chinese to the French. But out of all the artwork throughout millenia, “Monalisa” seemed to be the favourite. I couldn’t figure out why. It’s tiny and unimpressive. I was more blown away with the French gigantic paintings. The sheer size of those paintings are unbelievable! Hat off to those artists for having the tenacity to pull off such feat.
