Day 121: Wait a Minute… This Is Not Europe
Algeciras, Spain – Tanger – Chefchaouen, Morocco
Right guys, I’m too lazy to write and I had convinced Storm to write for me during the Moroccan trip. So here goes:
The first step into Morocco was a big one. First off Elys had told me that i would be writing the blog entry for today. Secondly we were both heading into Africa for the first time and third of all crossing from siesta pace of Spain into the fast talking, hustle and bustle of Tanger was a bit of a shock. It didn’t take to long before Elys and I decided to head for a more promising destination in Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen is a city backed up into the mountains and famous for the shades of blue painted on the walls and doors surrounding the cities medina, (also as we learned later for the hash as well).
I was taken aback when we entered the medina, the entrance opened up into narrow corridors, painted blue and white, and the streets were lined with with markets selling all sorts and our hostel happened to be tucked right into the middle of it all.
