Day 109: With Capabilities Like No Others
Lauterbrunnen – Murren – Grimmenwald – Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
My morning paragliding excursion was cancelled due to the weather Good thing the rest of the day made up for the disappointment. I went hiking with a bunch of people: Honey, Leah, Nick, Ronnie and Daniel. Good group. Great synergy.
We hiked for approximately 6 hours but it included plenty of picnic stops and fooling around. The Swiss Alps is absolutely stunning! The view is stupendous. Everything is super clear and sharp. The only way I’d put it is that it’s like a super wide HD view. The details that you can see is unbelievable. Very much like Planet Earth on Blue-ray. Perched up on the top eating my jam sandwich, I wished I never had to come down.
Last group photo of the day, I promise! But it animates :]

By the time we got back to the camping ground, my legs had gone jelly on me. One of the top things to do during my round-the-world trip is hiking up to the basecamp of Mt. Everest. It’s 18-day hike with my main backpack on! After today, I really doubt I can pull it off… I had Swiss Rosti for dinner. Heart attack on a plate but I bloody deserved it.
