Day 97: Venice the Menace
Venice, Italy
I really don’t see the appeal of Venice. And I wasn’t the only one. Most of the people that I spoke with were all somewhat disappointed with their Venice experience.
I wonder if it had to do with the fact that we stayed in this pretty shitty camping ground half an hour away from the actual Venice. Or perhaps it was the unbearably hot weather. Or perhaps it was having to navigate the overly crowded Venice maze alleyways in 35 degree Celsius weather. Whatever the factors were, I just didn’t enjoy Venice. But eh, I guess I got my “Greetings from…” photo so I can claim the been-there-done-that, it was no biggie
Another thing about Italy was that everything is expensive. Either that or dollar sucks. A simple meal = 13 bucks easily. NYC is cheap comparatively.
