Day 61: Shipbuilding

Vela Luka, Croatia

Storm and I had a day off today. Originally we decided to rent a scooter and go cruising the island. However, we ended up sleeping in then do our knowledge review homework since we’re  never able to get around to it on our regular days. Doing the knowledge review took a lot longer than we had anticipated since we didn’t have the manuals to get the answers from. We ended up going to the dive center and spent an hour or so there.

By the time we got out and ready to cruise, all the scooters at Tihana’s agency were rented out. What a bummer. At last, we decided to just trek to the edge of the town, visit the large Costco-like supermarket in the middle of nowhere, grab some food and drink and perch up on a hill and watch the ocean.

While we were there, we caught the sight of Thor leaving Hotel Adria’s bay. On it was Mikey, David and Billy. Apparently they had spent 4 hours there setting up more swimming buoys and their stone anchors.

Croatian phrase of day:

Prvi razred = First class
