Cleaning gutter wasn’t really my expertise but now it is. During the flushing out of the gutter pipe, I felt bad for the snails that lived inside it. It must have been like a tsunami for them. I ended up compiling them onto a rock. There must have been 10 of them and they looked totally cool together. I planned to take a photo of them, but by the time I got done with my task, they had dispersed. Damn, who would have thought I’m slower than them snails.
Speaking of snails, time crawled for me today… It started with the gutter cleaning, then it’s rearranging the weights that the divers use, then it’s back onto watching over Angelina. My, I was mentally worn out by the time she went home. Taking care of a kid is no joke. My utmost respect for you folks with kids! I asked Bobby if babysitting was in fact one of my duty here, cos if it was, I might bail. He assured me that that’s not the case. It’s just that they needed help at the moment. Marjolein, the wife, has been teaching the Instuctor Dive Course these two weeks and when she’s done, both she and Angelina will go back to the Netherlands. Hurray!
For those who wonder, I do start second-guessing this whole internship program but supposedly, from what I picked up from other ex-interns, things will pick up and then once the tourists come and I start learning more about diving, I’ll eventually lead dives. So I guess I’ll be sticking it out. You guys should bear with my boring rants too for the time being!
By the way, I didn’t kill that snail in the picture.
Croatian phrase of the day:
Kako si danas? = How are you today?
