So it all begins! Today is the first day of my long-awaited round-the-world trip. Still can’t believe it’s happening. I feel excited and nervous at the same time. I think my anxiety is solely based on the fact that my backpack and daypack combined weigh a staggering 45lbs (I was targeting for 30lbs). I worry that this will get me off on the wrong foot. My face tells it all:
But fear not, as I’ve planned to send home some of my scuba equipment (dive skins, mask, snorkel) and other gear that prove to be useless after my stay in Croatia. After all, I won’t really be “traveling” for the first 3 month since I’ll be staying put in Korcula doing the Dive Master internship.
