Day 328: The Foods, The Goods and The Hoods

Seoul, Korea

Like always, I never knew what’s going on in a place before getting there. After chatting with other travelers at the hostel, I learnt about some local cheap food, a world expo in Yeosu, and an old street in Seoul.

That’s exactly what I did for the day:

Eating “Kimbap”, a $2.50 Futomaki sushi-like Korean traditional food.

Finding out more about Yeosu: Living Ocean and Coast Expo 2012 from tourist info center and how to go about going there from the central bus terminal.

Visiting Buckheon neighbourhood where there are plenty of old traditional Korean buildings and designer boutique stores.

In the evening, I met up with a Couchsurfer Uni along with her friends in one of the hippest hang-out spot in Hongdae district (where loads of university students and youngsters spend most of their time.)
